Carson Bull

What’s up y'all. I’m Carson. I’m just here to sing, write, and play guitar. That’s about all I do. I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana my entire life. Although there weren’t really any musicians in my family growing up, both of my parents and my two siblings were avid music lovers. There was always a wide variety of music playing through the house, from AC/DC, to Fleetwood Mac, to BB King.
I first started playing guitar when I was 10 years old. I would say artists like Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and David Gilmour were my biggest influences on my guitar playing growing up. I got into singing about the same time I realized I wanted to write songs when I was about 14 years old. I drew a lot of my early songwriting inspiration from artists like Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and The Doors.
I joined Overlook at the age of 15 when Jimmy reached out to me about a band forming in town that was needing a lead guitar player. I wasn’t planning on becoming a lead singer, some things just work out differently than how you would expect. But here we are six years later and I’m still playing music and now living with these guys.
I moved away from Fort Wayne in 2019 to attend Belmont University for songwriting. After the pandemic hit, I dropped out of school and have been living in Nashville ever since.
