Colin Christenson

Howdy I’m Colin. I play drums in the band. I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana and grew up in a super musical family. My dad was a high school band director for the first 13 years of my life so I was constantly surrounded by his playlists of jazz, classic rock and the Dave Matthews Band. I picked up drumsticks in his band room when I was 4 years old and had convinced my parents to get me a drum set by the time I was 6.
I played my first gig when I was 13 at a teen rock night in a band with Jim. After that, I spent most of my high school years playing jazz and R&B gigs with Sam around town. By 2018, I had fallen in love with Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Tame Impala, and The Beatles and knew I wanted to be in a rock band. Jim and Sam were the first guys I called and we met Carson that summer. After a couple years in Overlook I wanted to be in music as a career so I moved to Nashville to study music business at Belmont University. College wasn’t for me but the city was, and I’m glad we’re all together here now.
